A Writing Residency
THE ASHMOLEAN MUSEUM

In 2005 I started a two-year residency at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology in Oxford. It just seemed an unseasonably promising treasure for inspiration and I thought I'd do something about it. I have held four literary evenings so far, where I premiered new material [4th November 2005, 10th March, 2006, 16th June, 2006, & 7th October, 2006] and should have one more evening for the road in 2007. Mostly poetry, with a sprinkling of really short stories and Museum gossip. Plus, it's impossible to tell what my friends will bring. You can get on the mailing list for Notices here. You can also read a review on the first event in Cherwell 24. The last event was JOURNEYS, which held at the Ashmolean on 7th October, 2006, from 5.30 till 8.30pm. Read on.
